Özet
Yunanistan’ın İstanköy adasında Türk-Müslüman Vakıflarına ait kültürel eserler haraç-mezat satılmaya devam ediyor ve yıkılıyor. ROİSDER, Yunanistan Kültür ve Spor Bakanlığı ile İstanköy Vakıf Malları Yönetim Kurumu’na 17 Ağustos 2021 tarihinde gönderdiği mektuplarla bu durumu şiddetle kınadıklarını ve artık insanlığın ortak malı olan bu eserlerin korunmasını talep etmiş bulunmaktadır.

Yunan makamları Rodos ve İstanköy’de Türk-Müslüman Vakıflarına ait malların eritilmesine ilişkin politikayı sürdürmektedir.
Bu konuda birçok örnek verilebilir. 6 Mayıs 2021 tarihinde 2017 depreminde hasar gördüğü gerekçesiyle İstanköy şehir merkezindeki Defterdar İbrahim Efendi Camii’nin şadırvanının bulunduğu yerden Vakfa ait bir araziye nakledilimiş ve ve bilahare iş makineleriyle yıkılmıştı.
Son olarak İstanköy Vakıf Malları Yönetim Kurumu’nun 29 Temmuz 2021’de yayınlanan satış bildirisi ile Platitsi bölgesindeki 38.240 metrekare büyüklüğündeki vakıf arazisini 20 Ağustos 2021 Cuma günü başlangıç fiyatı olarak 700 bin Avro olmak üzere açık ve sözlü artırmayla satışa çıkarılacağını teessür ile öğrenmiş bunuyoruz.
Vakıf mallarının korunmasının İstanköy ve Rodos’un Müslüman Türk ahalisinin din ve ibadet özgürlüğü ile bağlantılı bir mesele olduğu aşikardır. Bahsekonu din ve ibadet özgürlüğünün cemaat olarak kullanılabilmesi için söz konusu malların korunması elzemdir. Bu itibarla, Yunan Yönetimleri tarafından atanmakta olan Yönetim Kurullarının sürdürdüğü tasfiye işlemleri, aynı zamanda din ve ibadet özgürlüğünü kısıtlayan ve yok eden bir yaklaşımdır.
ROİSDER olarak,Yunanistan Devleti’nden;
- Rodos ve İstanköy Türklerinin Türk kimliklerini kabul etmesi ve kültürel kimlikleriyle örgütlenmelerini engelleyen yasa ve baskıların kaldırmasını,
- Türk çocuklarına çift dillilik temelinde en azından ilköğretim düzeyinde anadil eğitimi hakkı vermesini,
- Türk Müslümanlarının ibadetlerini özgür olarak ifade etmelerini sağlamasını,
- Osmanlı Türklerinden kalan kültürel eserlerin korunmasına, bakım ve onarımına Yunan hükümetlerinin özen göstermesini,
- Türk Müslüman Vakıf Malları Yönetim Kurumu üyelerinin, Rodos ve İstanköy Türkleri arasında yapılacak özgür bir seçimle gelmelerinin gerçekleştirilmesini”talep ediyoruz.

In the Greek Island of Kos, Cultural Monuments belonging to Turkish-Muslim Foundations continue to be sold out at fire-sale prices and demolished.
Abstract
Cultural Monuments belonging to Turkish-Muslim Foundations in the Greek Island of Kos continue to be sold out at fire-sale prices and demolished.
In separate letters it sent to the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Executive Committee of the Kos Foundation Property Management on 20 August 2021, ROISDER (The Rhodes, Kos and the Dodacanese Turks Culture and Solidarity Association) has strongly condemned this situation and demanded the protection of these works, which have now become the common property of humanity.

Greek authorities continue to pursue their policy towards liquidating the foundation properties in Rhodes and Kos.
Many examples can be given in this respect. The fountain (Şadırvan) of the Defterdar İbrahim Effendi Mosque in the city center of Kos was transferred from its location to a site belonging to the Foundation on May 6, 2021 as per the pretext that it was damaged in the 2017 earthquake. Unfortunately we have learned that it was subsequently demolished due to use of heavy construction machinery.
Finally, with the sales notice published by the Executive Council of Kos Foundation Properties on July 29, 2021, we regret to learn that the 38.240 square meter land belonging to the foundation in the Platitsi area would be put up for sale on Friday, August 20, 2021, with a starting price of 700 thousand Euros in an the ascending-bid (oral) auction.
It is evident that the protection of foundation properties is an issue closely associated with the freedom of religion and worship of the Muslim Turkish populations of Kos and Rhodes. In order for the said freedom of religion and worship to be freely exercised by the community, it is crucial to protect the said properties. In this regard, the liquidation procedures carried out by the Executive Boards appointed by the Greek Governments are also an approach that restricts and even destroys the freedom of religion and worship.
On behalf of ROISDER, we demand the following from the Greek State as innate human rights:
- Turkish identity of our cognates in Rhodes and Kos should be recognized and the laws and restrictions that prevent them from organizing with their cultural identities should be abolished.
- Turkish children living in Rhodes and Kos should be given the right to education in native tongue, on a bilingual basis at least at elementary school levels
- Turkish Muslims should be allowed to exercise their religion and worship freely.
- Special care should be paid to the preservation, maintenance and repair of cultural monuments in Rhodes, Kos and elsewhere in Greece.
- Members of the Turkish Muslim Foundation Property Administration should be determined by free elections among the Rhodes and Kos Turks.
